The goal of this session was to work on mountain biking fundamentals for technical riding. We spent time on bike set up, basic body position and body/bike separation, braking, and dynamic riding. After doing some drills, the group moved over to the “rock playground” area of Sekani, and put the skills to use practicing on various rock obstacles and trail features near the IMBA trail and the proposed skills area. It was great to see the growth in confidence and ability of these gals.
